about

Photography of a woman chef piping batter into muffin tins. She is smiling in a modern kitchen setting.

Martina hails from the rural west coast of Ireland where her love of cooking developed from a young age out of pure necessity as her mother was (and still is) a dreadful cook. Martina became an accomplished home cook. However, she didn’t cook professionally until she joined yachting.

Her first position was onboard a 47m motor yacht cooking for 12 crew after this, she was hooked. She fell in love with the galley. That was over eight years ago and since then has worked on yachts from 27m to 75m, cooking for both guest and crew, private and charter.

Martina has recently returned to land life and has settled in Lymington and is excited to bring her experience from yachts to a table near you.

Cooking Style

Martina describes her cooking as healthy but tasty. She likes to combine her knowledge of nutrition and gut health into producing nutritious but delicious dishes. Her focus is sourcing and using high quality produce, with beautiful presentation to elevate dishes.

Martina has a strong Mediterranean influence in her cooking, but also loves Asian fusion, Middle Eastern and classic home comfort foods. Martina is a keen baker and will never join a boat without her six -year-old sourdough starter Brigit.

Although her preference is for healthy and nutritious meals her aim is to always tailor the experience on to the preference of the client. Have an idea of what you would like? Let’s work together on it!
